Smart Parking Charge - Exeter Quay (Matalan)

Wow, thanks Coupon, for that input. So helpful - does it look like the sort of case that routinely 'wins' at POPLA? I have to say reading the bit about grace periods near the start, trying to remove myself from being one of the protagonists, it does make perfect sense i.e. that Smart would charge from the moment your wheels make contact with the car park. Seems ridiculous to me?
I can't quite recall whether or not I did confirm who was driving at appeals
I will save the doc with the changes and send off to POPLA shortly.
Thanks again0 -
On POPLA now, christ, can't fit anything onto the small, 2000 character sections they provide. Is it ok to upload the letter as PDF and then put (see supporting evidence) into the boxes? Nightmare0

Ok, I get it - saw your comment on PDF and 'other' - you never know what they are gong to throw your case out nowadays for.0

Hi All.
Smart Parking took one look at the evidence I sent and scarpered. Too late for them though, our local MP has been in touch and is going to raise the issue further with them re their punitive practices.
Thanks for help, a priceless forum for this sort of stuff.

Great stuff - it's about time they realised that they just can't go bullying anyone and everyone. Sometimes a tiger gets grabbed by the tail!Too late for them though, our local MP has been in touch and is going to raise the issue further with them re their punitive practices.
Encourage your MP to go for their jugular.
Have you seen Pete Wishart's withering attack's on Smart Parking in the recent Commons debate? Watch all of this - enlightening and promising.

The Smart Parking problem could be resolved easily
Firstly, the gutless yellow bellied BPA could terminate them
Secondly Smart be banned by the DVLA
How can the BPA allow such a huge scammer be a member
Smart makes the BPA look like fellow scammers

Why hijack someone else's thread instead of reading the sticky thread for NEWBIES that answers your question?

Why did you not go with a High Court Writ, it costs them another £66. Have you seen the HofC video?
