Aaaaarrggghhh!

Sorry, i have to let off a bit of steam.

I've only been using Ebay since October last year, and i don't use it often (feedback 37 all +etc). Everything was going great until 4 weeks ago.

I won a beautiful Monsoon coat described age 3-6 month, in the 3-6 months catagory. I paid as soon as the auction had ended on a thursday night and P&P was first class. I waited until the thursday after without my coat until i emailed the seller, only to be told that it hadn't been sent out because her husband had taken her on a surprise weekend away for her birthday. OK, i'm in no great hurry for the coat (baby is due in 4 weeks), but it stil took until the monday after for the coat to be delivered...And it was the wrong size, size 0-3 months :( I have not been able to contact seller since.

NEXT: Last monday i won a little bundle of baby clothing from a newish seller (feedback 9, 1 for selling). Paid by paypal again as soon as the auction finished. My paypal payment is still pending and i have emailed her constantly to try and see if she needs help etc, both through ebay and personal mail.

I though i would wait and see if anything would happen like maybe the seller is ill, but today she has a new feedback from tuesday where she won an item!!

I AM SO MAD! If i have the courtesy to email and keep in contact and pay people so they don't have to wait, why can't they?? Also i don't really want to neg anybody because i don't want them to neg me out of spite. I think a neg looks really bad if you only have a small amount of feedback anyway.

Sorry for the post (maybe i should put it on the vent section) and i feel much beter now :)

For the first item do a chargeback through paypal and an ebay claim for item not as described, that will get her attention.

As for the second one get her contact details and phone her, sellers hate that! If her phone number is invalid (and a lot of people use false numbers on ebay) then report her for bad contact details. If your paypal payment isn't claimed in 30 days it will bounce back to you.

The second part you wrote about the payment pending sounds like you oucld accidently have paid by e-cheque, its one of the paypal options and I have had a number of buyers who have paid this way accidently, it takes ages to clear. I have done it myself without realising.

However, Soo is right, could just be an unclaimed payment.

I've had a nice ebay experience today so my faith is restored at least for a while!

    Hope you get this sorted!

If it did accidently go through as an e-cheque, it's supposed to take 7 days to clear. In reality it takes around 10 days. This has happened to me 3 times. I've also had a problem with an international buyer not paying the correct postage. He appologised and sent an additional amount via paypal. It was several days before the details appeared on my paypal account and I could claim it. Meanwhile the buyer was getting very frustrated. Don't think he believed money had not arrived. Paypal not always as quick as they make out.

    Thanks all,

My faith in Ebay has been slightly restored as a pair of festival dugarees that i won yesterday arrived on the mat this morning :)

Regarding my second problem, i don't know if it is an e-cheque or not. The seller has only sold one other thing and i know from my past experience when i sold my first item, paypal allowed me to accept a credit card payment without upgrading. On the next payment i had to upgrade or it would've been refused.

It's not so much the fact my payment is still pending, it's just the fact that i have been trying to contact and even help the seller with no comeback from her...even though she is still buying!

Oh well, i'll wait till after the weekend then try again.....

Have a nice Bank holiday all, The sun is shining and i'm off camping :D
