What do I do next?

Hello all. First time ‘poster’ here!
I have just had a decision on my ppi claim. It was declined. I used a financial expert company to do it for me and they didn’t give the correct and accurate information. First of all when they found out that Egg had admitted that I had ppi added (without my knowledge!) the finance experts contacted me and asked me some questions ie where I worked at the time. I told the girl phone that I couldn’t remember exact dates off the top of my head but could get back to her with accurate information but she said “don’t worry it’s just a rough idea”... so from a hazy memory I gave her the best I could of my employment history of 15 years ago. After I received my decision I looked into my employment history at the time involved I was temping (no sick pay) and unemployed for 2 months. I also explained that I had a long term medical condition (I have seen that due to this I would never have been able to claim ppi even if I knew that I had it!). Canada Square Operations have failed to mention this anywhere in their decision and the financial company failed to give me chance to look and get accurate employment and told me rough details would be fine.
Canada Square say they will re-evaluate but I have been told going to the Financial ombudsmen is probably the more beneficial way to go. I also don’t feel that I should pay the financial company their full 30% when all they have done is provided the wrong information to Canada Square in the first place. What do you all think? Thanks in advance.

That is because they are not financial experts. Claims companies typically employ students and bored housewives looking for a bit of money.
It isnt an admission. Its not as if having PPI is wrong. You either have it or you dont.
A long term condition does not always invalidate the policy. It may only restrict claims about that condition. It has to be a condition severe enough to do that. Part restrictions are not a missale reason.
The FOS will look at your complaint now as you have been rejected. However, they will take note that you have changed your story and question this. It may be better to let Canada Sq look at it first as they have agreed to do so.
