Group UK Holiday Cottage Cover

We're due to go on a UK cottage holiday in the summer with extended family (group 10).
I'm looking to purchase cover for the holiday, I don't want to purchase cancellation insurance as the chances are if one family can't make it the other 2 will still go.
What I would like to be covered is supplier failure i.e. the agent we made the booking with goes bust. Where could I purchase such specialist cover?

If you pay by credit card then s75 will cover the payment should the supplier fail to supply and is foc0

Unfortunately we had to pay for the holiday by BACS, credit card payment wasn't available.0

So it sounds like you booked with a very small organisation - or perhaps even an individual.
I can't imagine any insurance company underwriting that. All you can do is make your own checks on the supplier.
FWIW, ActionFraud say that being asked to pay for holiday accommodation by bank transfer can be a sign of fraud.Holiday fraud

Hopefully, you've made thorough checks that the agent is reputable, and that the person you are dealing with really is the agent - and not an impostor.0 -
You could enquire with PJ Hayman brokers to see what they could provide. Some UK holiday let bookings can run into many thousands, so it may be worth finding out what bespoke cover would cost. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0

End supplier failure is normal cover. You would normally have cover for an agent failure such as ABTA. Are they members of anything?0

It is a small independent letting agent, you could book with them through Trip Advisor but this cost £350 more than directly through them (obviously Trip Advisors booking fee).
No they're not a member of ABTA.0 -

Yes the agent has their own website/facebook page and are registered at companies house.0
