We were in Kirkcaldy for a party yesterday, I drove up the M6 to Gretna services through horrendous rain, then DH got sunshine. Today driving home there was snow on the Edinburgh bypass, frozen snow down the road to Moffat (where we saw gritter Snow Farah!) and then snow flurries on the M6 past Carlisle, with 2 gritters & plows within 8 miles of home, almost unheard of around here! Its just gone dark with another snow shower here, am glad I don't have to go anywhere tonight.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

We have had two hailstorms and some snow as well as sunshine, quite spectacular!I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

It has been mainly sunny, but as cold as charity and 3 very heavy snow storms, which only lasted about 10 minutes. OH remarked that we have had more snow storms (although not much has stuck) this winter than our previous 6 here in total, hope that is the last of it.
Love the snow plough names Floss, particularly Snow Farah:rotfl:
Poppy - sorry missed to welcome your earlier:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
We have had quite a bit of snow today but it hasnt stuck. Its bitterly cold though.
We had Diva for a few hours this morning into afternoon. Her Mommy had a bad day with her yesterday and Grump moans that he never sees her (Diva not her Mum) so i suggested having her for a few hours. Of course i will be having her tomorrow for the day as its childcare day but at least her Granddad got to see her.
Havent seen Youngest for 24 hours but he's ok. He's sent me the odd text to say he is ok.
Grump has done the odd jobs in the house i asked him to so all is well.

Finally, I have managed to log on! First I forgot I'd had to change me wretched password (why? after nearly 10 years using the same one? grrr) then my internet connection started playing up - not sure why, Mr LW was connected on the pc with no problem (same router, same room even). Anyways, I pressed a few buttons and managed to connect again. I wonder if Cortana is trying to get back at me because I won't give her any information (she'll only pass it along to M1cros0ft if I do) and I've told her to shut her clack - permanently.
Well it's as good a theory as any.....
Just caught up with yesterday's thread; I've been quite poorly all weekend so didn't come on here at all yesterday.
Csarina so sorry to hear your friend's sad news.
Jackie I'm glad you've managed to stay with us; it just wouldn't be the same without you.
Poppy welcome; this is definitely the right place to find virtual friends. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thanks Lamewolf ,well a nice day today ,apart from the awful snow and hail this afternoon, but I was in a very comfotable hotel eating cake and drinking coffee at my DGD's baby shower, there were some fun quizes and I won a goodie bag with sweets a small bottle of prosecco some posh chocolates and a face mask !!! think my DD will use that as my fizog could do with polyfilla
Delicious roast Chicken dinner at DDs followed by treacle pud and custard and I am totally stuffed.
DGD Katie got lots of smashing things for the baby and with us all guessing the date, length of labour etc it was a fun afternoon
Tomorrow morning I have to fit in a quick visit to my book club and then back to DDs to look after the boys s its half term.
Eldest DD is enjoying her NYC trip although today apparently it bucketed down.
Hope everyone has had a peaceful Sunday
keep warm and dry as the cold weather is still with us for a few more days

I know, I know I am very late posting for Sunday but here goes.
:hello: Poppy - you will find lots of virtual friends here.
Dumpling, I hope you can put black dog back where he belongs & I am sending you virtual (((hugs))).
My Sunday started at 2.00 a.m. when my DH said there was a fire at the end of our close:( So being nosey or should that be concerned! I walked the few yards to make sure it was under control to discover a group of drunk people who had thought it was a great idea to start a fire in their teeny front garden - it was blazing nicely:o with lots of smoke & threatening to set their hedge on fire. Completely clueless:mad: & didn’t know what to do - suggested they dial 999 & left them to it. It was obviously all sorted out as the hedge was only slightly singed.
Bright sunny day but bitterly cold so I resorted to baking - choc chip biccies & Stilton & bacon scones to go with the hm soup. The DH is made of sterner stuff so he was out in the garage making two frames to cover the pipes in the airing cupboard - he made a really good job of it & my first task for Monday when I get up is to put away the towels & bedding. Then I have a whole list of things to do BUT I will not stress - I WILL JUST PLOD ON and what gets done gets done.
Anyway I’m going to make myself a cup of cocoa & watch a bit of the Winter Olympics & then off to bed:)
Hope everyone gets a decent amount of sleep:)
