Combi Baxi Boiler Problems

Hi, My Baxi combi boiler has developed a fault. I can get hot water but i am not getting any central heating. I have tried repressurising the sytem, bleeding air from all radiators and made sure the pump was rotating by removing the large screw at the front and i can confirm its spinning.
On the led display the led to show the central heating is on, does not light at all even though the pressure is good and its acctually set to come on.
Help please has anyone got any suggestions as to what might be wrong or how to fix it?
Thanks in advance
Mark

Hi
Is there a room stat ,and is it calling for heat?
Is the selector set for heating and hot water or just hot water?
If you have the installation manual find the fault finding flow charts .

Thanks for the speedy reply Corgi Guy
There is no room stat.
The setting is set to both heating and hot water.
If there was a fault it should display as a flashing led? so it says on the flod down cover, but it does not flash, it doesnt come on at all.0 -
just checked the fault finding page of the manual and it says 'ensure controls are set to demand and verify the contacts are closed' how do i verify this?0

Hi
If you don't have a flashing fault code it would suggest it's not getting the message to fire for c/h. As you have no room stat this would be a programmer, which is built in to the boiler I assume.
So both the boiler and programmer installation manuals would be useful.(not just the drop down ones)
If it's a programmer problem, and it's digital, then maybe re setting it would help.(a button you push with a ball point pen)

You would need a multimeter to test for voltage, not necessarily 230 volts,

What part do i need to test by use of the multimeter?
The boiler is not a digital one and i have tried turning the on/off/reset selctor switch to all the settings, and still get no c/h when i turn it back on.0 -
Hi
What model boiler is it?
I think if you are not sure what part to test then you shouldn't be testing anything, as you might do more harm than good.

The boiler model is a baxi combi instant 105e.0

Hi
Does the timer look like this...
http://www.intermatic.com/Default.asp?action=subcat&sid=408&cid=121&did=44
If yes does it make a noise like a clock ticking /grinding? If no then it's had it .
That's the bit you need to test
Does it have voltage to it and away from it. With out this the boiler will not fire for heating.

Hi corgi guy,
Im at work so cant test the voltage till i get home. My girlfreind doesnt think it is ticking/grinding but it is still displaying the correct time. If it has gone would it still display the correct time?
Is it be hard to change the timer? I have little knowledge of appliences but i do do alot of work on cars and their electrics. I can follow instructions pretty well. Is this something i will be able to do myself or shall i call a corgi engineer to change it?
Thanks
