Jamacia, Barbados or Bahamas

Just back from Sandals Barbados and would highly recommend. The new Sandals Royal Barbados has been completed right next door to the pre-existing resort and guests can use both resorts, so you get two for the price of one. If you want to see round the island, I would recommending taking one with Ricardo from Sun Tours who will drive you round the island to places you wouldn't have known existed, and he serves you the best rum punch you ever tasted along the way!
I would recommend hiring a car or taking the local buses , and potter around the whole islandVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
Why not try Mexico 'Cancun', much better value for money and some of the resorts are amazing. We did Bahia Principe a couple of years back. 5* all inclusive, amazing, and didn't break the bank.

Never been to Jamaica but it's reputation would put me off. When I went to the Bahamas it was pretty expensive and due to the flatness quite dull to drive around. Crime was also an issue at the time, I was told by the car hire company to always park the car empty, unlocked and with the windows down.
I've also been to Barbados, really enjoyed it for the most part. Although we did get robbed (bag snatched).0 -
We hired a mini moke and drove around Barbados ourselves. The east coast is fascinating and completely different to the more popular tourist locations on the south and west coasts.0

Here's an interesting take on the current situation in Jamaica. Not sure I entirely agree with it but it is interesting.
