ski jackets - really necessary for skiing?

Charity shops can have skiing gear. Their online shops will save time rather than trogging round the high street shops.0

Thanks for the tip. Didn't think about ebay, I suppose if I had to buy them new at full price (I am short so often need petite length trousers anyway) then sell them on ebay afterwards that could still technically reduce the overall cost and it'll work out cheaper then hiring clothing for 6 days.0

Like waamo I've worn both salopettes and trousers, I found trousers more comfortable, and easier for loo stops (probably even more so for female skiers) but if you are somewhere particularly cold then salopettes add an exta layer over the core of your body.0

Hi, the trousers I've had in the past all have detachable shoulder straps, I just wear mine without straps. Loo stops are hard enough with all the layers being a lady!0
