Bank Account without photo Id

Hi all,

This is my first post so please bear with me if its not done correctly. I currently do not have a bank account and really want to open on. The problem is that I currently don't have any form of photo ID. Is there a way to open one without any until I can get some sorted. Any advice would be greatly recieved.

You don't have to have photo id.

If you are on the electoral roll then when a credit search is done they will pick up the address confirmation electronically.

Id - you can have such things as a Benefits letter, Inland Revenue tax coding letter etc etc.

I think the OP may have meant proof of themselves rather than address verification. Any letter from the benefits agency granting the right to benefits should be sufficient for proof of yourself.

You'll need to check with the bank to see what's on their acceptable ID list. Abbey would accept notice of tax coding or benefits letter, with a utility bill as well.
