Yes, but they're a self-selecting group. That board is teeming with people who have MEWed and sank into debt because, well, it's a board for people who have MEWed and sank into debt.
Yep, but there is alot of them. Think ten years ago, how many would be on there then? I think there is alot of people in trouble and tbh I don't think some of them have any idea that they are yet.

And I don't think it just the typical lower class (am I allowed to say that still :D) type you would expect, its the upper middle class, with a large (massive) mortgage.

Oh, such a shame I missed this! I love programmes like this.

    Hope it repeats.

People with high LTV or high salary multiple loans are not subprime.

    They're not prime, they're not super-prime, hence they're sub-prime.

Why can't they put all house price shows onto one channel and just merge any that start elsewhere into a 'master' programme?

Shame really for me. As someone who really thought that Nu Labour would make a difference,I am appalled at the way they have driven even a greater wedge between rich and poor in this country.Wow,the tories couldn`t have done better if they tried.

frankly i dont think the tories would have been able to do half as much damage as our current scumbags.

tuition fees would have unthinkable and basicly writing a blank check to public sector workers who are pretty much unsackable retring at 60 with final salary pensions so they are paid the same (or more) than private sector employees cant have helped the economy.

    Great programme.

It was all in there - MEW, BMV, buying abroad, buying a boat, buying with friends, moving back in with parents.......

It was even presented by a sell-to-renter.

They could have called it HPC : The Movie

:o:o:o:o:o Am so embarrassed to ask.... what are/is MEW and BMV?

Slightly different note..... 8% of mortgages are sub-prime but represent a higher % of repossessions..... emmm, yes, that would be why they are sub-prime??? At the risk of sounding like Terry Wogan..... is it me????
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

A lot of people I know who have/had high LTV or salary multiple mortgages are graduates.

Some of their salaries have increased lots since they have brought their property (mostly flats cos I'm in London) and most are sensible not like the idiot EA on the program. Their salary increases go into their pension and paying off their mortgage.

Others who have gone down this avenue in the last 2 years or so are just hoping that any property crash doesn't affect their employment prospects.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

    Nonsense ;-)
I am old labour, and they found out that sadly because of the greedy nature of the electorate they were unlikey ever to be elected. So The New Tories were born. What we have now is a one party system A slightly left of the right and a slightly right of the right. So slightly on either side that it makes not a blind bit of difference.
Whoever happens to have the reigns at any time now doesnt really matter a jot! ;-)

ive worked under an old labour 70s style system in the 90s before it bust, union leaders sitting on their !!! doing F all till they factory almost went bust then proposing the last in first out rule to make things worse.

socialim doesnt work(1), pretty much all systems the government touches end up corrupted and less efective. frankly i object to the idea of half my wages going straight to the government to fund stuff i wouln't ever get like a pension, if you think the political system is failing you try beeing forced with the theat of jail to hand over most of the money you earn to scroungers and burocrats.

instead of a democratic system let people use their own concience to pay their own wages to fund unlimited unemployment charity to people in an economy where you barely walk down the street without a job offer.

    (1) just look at my sunny home town of glasgow with 60 years of corrupt ineffective government.
