Hi there, sorry if this has been covered, couldn;t see it. I need to make a multi point trip round the USA (about six flights..) this winter. Does anyone have good tips on websites/airlines etc to use to get the best deal? First post, thanks in advance!!

These are all low cost airlines I believe. There may be others too.
Also , this might help http://www.cheapflights.com/ and www.whichbudget.com0 -
It's also worth looking at the traditional airlines as they often bring their fares inline with the likes of Southwest when they are in direct competition. Some carriers have also brought back VUSA (Visit USA fares) which on longer internal journies is often cheaper. It may also be worth signing up for frequent flyer miles if your travel is mainly on one carrier (or carriers within the same alliance)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Have a look at Kayak.com. I've found them consistently the best for low fares for the last 3 years.

continental have some really good prices and seem on the whole to be cheaper the earlier you book them.
a downside (along with some of the others) is that as on a lot of routes they operate smaller aircraft they are more prone to overbooking and weight embargos0 -
Thanks a lot for this all! Going to check them out asap..0

Have just booked NewYork, vegas, Houston,San Jose Costa rica,Houston, orlando for £534.00 on Continental BUSINESS CLASS.:rotfl:"Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain."

that looks great ...one thing to check with continental is that as your last leg houston to orlando only has economy service on it are you classed as business travel regarding lounge access and especially if it is important to you baggage allowance.Have just booked NewYork, vegas, Houston,San Jose Costa rica,Houston, orlando for £534.00 on Continental BUSINESS CLASS.:rotfl:
i have had a nightmare before where i tried to book a business flight and the sector only had economy on it ...the booking gave me the business class baggage allowance and i had to argue for weeks to sort it out as they disputed it.
i'd hope that as you've booked multi-trip it shouldn't be a problem but certainly worth checking0 -
as a matter of interest what month(s) have you booked this for0
