Declaring damage
Options
Hi
Unfortunately I got a donk on my tailgate. My car was bought from a family member for next to nothing so not really keen on getting it repaired (doesn't affect running of car at all) and not claiming for it. My insurance is due for renewal next year. Do i need to declare it?

If you were hit by another driver and nobody involved is interested in going through insurance, then keep it to yourself. If you just reversed into a post or something and nobody else involved, then job done. Your policy may say you have to/should report it, but back in the real world, wouldn't bother if I were you.0
