Do i need to proof that hes just visiting if so what proof would i need0

He's visiting you don't need proof, you don't need to tell them. You are allowed to have visitors when claiming housing benefit.Ipun1sh3di wrote: »Do i need to proof that hes just visiting if so what proof would i need0 -
So he can come stay at mine for the whole summer and it wouldnt affect my housing benefit?0

In your housing benefit claim have you been allowed a bedroom for your
son?
Because if he lived with you before he went to university and all his possessions are there, he is not claiming HB at his university and will make regular visits during the year then you should be allowed a bedroom for him in your claim.0 -
He only wants to visit for the whole summer he has his own accomadation where his uni is he doesnt visit any other time in the year0

As you've already been adviced ecause he's just visiting you don't need to tell them. If every person that claims housing benefit rang their local council everytime they had a visitor it would be ridiculous. My daughter used to visit me and stay for weeks when she left for uni. Did i ring my local council everytime.....no. We are allowed to have visitors.Ipun1sh3di wrote: »So he can come stay at mine for the whole summer and it wouldnt affect my housing benefit?0
