Out of curiosity has anyone ever taken these companies to court for harrasment if they repeatedly send debt collecting letters?

Not to my knowledge. As I understand it, the bar is set a bit higher than simply having received a small number of ignorable letters.

It would be best pursued as a counterclaim in the event of a PPC ploughing on with an unreasonable court case. So in your case, it’s unlikely to be a possibility.

If you did want to start a stand-alone case for harassment against G24, you’d get help from here in setting things up. But unless you’re really wound up for the fight, and all its work, then I’d get on with life. And don’t forget, it’s a 50:50 chance of success only in a small claims court!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Legalistic tosh, they are trying to scam you. Because of this Parliament has set in motion a bill which will make life extremely difficult for these companies,

and then complain in the most robust terms to your MP.t

G24 charges are normally cancelled easily by complaining to the Store Manager of the retailer.

Any update on this thread. In exactly the same position. Asking retailer to cancel ticket after G24 rejected my appeal and offered IAS. (I will not be doing IAS as mentioned in Newbie thread)
