But would he hurt himself if he fell out of sofa? And I worry about whether a sofa is suitable for you sleep on, regardless of whether you are used to being in a small bit of bed :o xx
Yes, I think he would hurt himself; he's 68, and his health isn't as good as it used to be. I'm sure I'll be fine on the sofa; I'd honestly prefer to take the sofa myself, or I'll only lie awake worrying if he's ok, and listening for him going *klumpf* onto the floor, which kind of defeats the object of me getting some sleep. :D
But I thank you for your concern. x

Also I'm not out to "punish" him; he can't help it, he's fast asleep and has no knowledge or, in the morning, memory, of the fidgeting, snoring, talking gibberish..... all I want is some uninterrupted kip. :o

Hester I could cope if he *just* slept like a starfish - it's the fidgeting and the noise I can't hack. He had his leg out of the covers and was kicking the side of the bed the night before last!! Which reverberated across the bed and jigged my back up something rotten. :(

Just read in our local paper that a child on his way to school, was approached by a man offering to give him a present this morning. It's the school my DGC attend . That's the second school this week that someone has approached a child. What's wrong with people these days !

  • NAN we had this problem last year with a man in a van offering the kids sweeties as they came out of school. First one school (where eldest DGD goes) and then he moved on to another (where 2 youngest go) It's a big worry. (Btw I hope you are soon feeling better I know to my cost how wearing that neverending cough is)

I have had a busy day with one thing and another and not a lot to show for it! Shopping delayed as DS called in for a coffee and a natter just as we were putting our coats on! We finally left at 11.15 and it was going up 2.00 by the time the shopping was put away and we sat down to a late lunch.

The customary Bolognese Bake has now been made and is all ready to pop in the oven, timed for the DGD's arrival "starving" from swimming! DD staying for tea too so it's meatless meatballs for her as she is a veggie.

It must be slightly milder out there as all the snow has gone. Sadly more is forecast overnight and we are in the line of fire!

Have a nice evening folks if you can xx

    Hello all,

Misty here this morning, DH and I went for his usual blood test.....had to get tights for tomorrow's wedding, rarely wear them. We are hoping for a fine day tomorrow, wrong time of year to hope for heat. Mossy is to go to kennels in a bit, guess who gets to take him? Still have to fill out the bones of my speech, but that wont take long.

JackieO......glad that your birthday was good, you deserve to be spoilt.

Time to go with Mossy, finding it hard to concentrate on anything in case I have left something undone!

    Hugs to all, take care.

  • MY OH sniffs and fidgets whilst he is dropping off, and then walks and throws himself about when he is asleep, thats why I got the bed in the sewing room. I have not slept in there whilst he has been suffering with his vertigo, but now it seems to have buzzed off , I may well start sleeping through there again.

He also sleeps right on the edge of the bed, and rolls himself in the duvet, so I end up having to move into the middle of the bed or put up with 1/2" of duvet...............

    Yes. Copied from Google...

Put a bar of soap under your sheet! ... Doctors are not sure, but some believe that the magnesium in the soap stops the problem. That is because magnesium deficiency is a leading cause of both restless leg syndrome and leg cramps. Dr. Oz suggests lavender soap because it helps to relax the muscles with its natural scent.

    Certainly works for Grump.
