Can i open a current account for someone who lives in the USA

A Friend who lives in LA would like me to open an account here in the UK in his but my address so a small pension cold be payed in. is this possible to do,any advice would be much appreciated.

Most banks will want to see him in person.
He may be able to apply online but I would imagine that the bank would be able to trace the origin of the application and this would most certainly arouse suspicion.
He would be better in my opinion to try and open an account using his own address.
Large US banks such as Citibank have branches in the UK so I would imagine be able to help him.0 -
thanks for your quick reply, you have confirmed what i though so i have told him to contact the pension fund to see what options are open to him.0
