PPI claims question

Can anybody please advise me regarding a PPI policy I still have. It is with a company called MMS (Marketing and management services Ltd). It was sold to me by Bradford & Bingley who I had my mortgage with at the time and was told that I had to take the policy to protect my mortgage payments in case of illness or unemployment. Obviously B&B are no longer trading and to my knowledge were taken over by Abbey National (Now Santander).

I have claimed on this policy for a period of unemployment some years ago, so bearing that in mind, would I still have grounds to make a mis-sold ppi claim and if so, who with?

Why do you think it was missold?

Most MPPI complaints are rejected and the product is fine. You can still buy MPPI today.
On top of that you have claimed on the policy. Whilst that does not prevent you from making a complaint, it does mean you cannot use a number of the complaint reasons. You made a claim on the policy which means you needed it. It also means you knew about it. And the fact it paid out means you were eligible for cover. So, that eliminates all the main complaint reasons straight away.
