What kind of insurance?

What kind of insurance do the i drive your car companies use?

I'm looking for fully comp, multi car for reward but can't find any. Should I be looking for public liability instead?

No not public liability, you need insurance to cover the vehicle your driving. Who will be the owner?

Thank you for all your replies.

The vehicle is owned by the client. One company has suggested car jockey but that has a limit of only a few miles. This is mainly for people who need someone to drive long distance.

I'll have a look at the motor trade underwriters to see if there's something more suitable. Apparently TradeX did cover but they're not taking new business.

And I'll check chauffeur insurance to see if it extends to the vehicle as well.

Yeah top gear did clip on that some years back.

Well I'm stumped. I've trawled the net and spoken to many insurance companies.
Car jockey is for people in the motor trade or collection and delivery of vehicles and Chauffeur insurance won't cover it.

If anyone has an idea what I should be looking for please PM me.

Tell us exactly what you job entails and the exact requirements.

Will the vehicle owner be in the vehicle? Are you just delivering the vehicles for the owner, ie 2nd homes or need a car at an airport when they arrive or taking the vehicle home for them etc?

Will you be doing any work to the vehicles? or taking the vehicle in for repair etc?

Is this just a idea for a business?

It's to chauffeur people in their own car, returning it to their home if for an airport run but usually a return journey.
Often older people have cars more suited to their ability but the most recent was a parent with an autistic child to attend a hospital appointment.

If I find insurance it could be a viable business.
