Motorhome Insurance Claim

I owned a motorhome until about two weeks ago when it was totally destroyed in a fire while it was at the garage for minor repairs. The fire was not caused by my vehicle.
The garage's insurance company should be responsible for my loss. I haven't heard from them yet but I believe they are investigating the incident.
I've been talking to my own insurance company who may pay me if the other company defaults, they have been investigating the incident and it is unknown what caused the fire but they don't think it was malicious. With my insurance company I won't receive anywhere near adequate compensation for all that I have lost because there are limits for my personal effects. I also don't want to go down that route at the moment because it may complicate the issue.
When the garage's insurers eventually contact me, can I expect to receive enough money to purchase another similar vehicle including the added accessories and all my personal items which were in it at the time of the incident?
I had booked ferries for my planned trip next month and I've had to cancel because I doubt if I will get back on the road in time. We were very disappointed as we had been planning this trip for some time. Can I also ask for compensation for the loss of my holiday, I've only incurred minor banking costs with the cancellation?
I spoke to a Loss Assessor but didn't get much information. I am waiting to hear from the garage's insurers to see what they have to say before engaging a solicitor if necessary.
