A little bit of positivity

I had an appointment for my 2 yearly ESA 're assessment on the 22nd Jan needless to say I was very stressed, about 5 mins before I was about to leave they phoned to say it had been cancelled due to staff illness, relief and upset mixed together as I didn't want to go but I also wanted to get it over with. Got another appointment for today (7th feb) for 3pm, had a call at 11.50am asking me if I wouldn't mind going a bit earlier 12.30! Good job I live about 10mins drive away.

The nurse I saw couldn't have been more kind and caring, I have Meniers disease and incontinence I guess it was lucky for me that she knew all about the illness and how badly it can affect people, I haven't seen a GP in about 4 years so had no medical notes, nothing at all but she understood that the illness is lifelong and can't be cured so going to a Doctor would be useless. She didn't ask me to do anything physical nor did she examine me, she just asked questions on how it affected me daily and gave me some tips on how I could make things a bit easier on the incontinence side.
Altogether I was in there around 20 mins. She said she has no say in the decision makers decision all she does is write the report and make a recommendation as to which group a customer should be in and most of the time she is listened to, she said she will definitely be recommending them to keep me in the support group, so fingers crossed they will listen, I am feeling hopeful though and I'm glad it's all over.
