Barclaycard sent me the wrong card

Does anyone have any experience of applying for the Barclaycard Platinum travel card

I was accepted a shortly after received a confirmation e-mail 'welcome to your new Barclaycard' but with no confirmation of the interest rate, fees, bonus period etc. A few days later I received the card by mail, but again no confirmation of interest rate, fees etc. So I ring up to get them to confirm I have no fees on non-sterling transactions. They tell me, no, as I have "applied for a Barclaycard Platinum card not a Barclaycard Travel card"


So it looks like they have sent me the wrong card - They tell me that I can't transfer it, only way is to close it and then wait 6 months to make a new application!


When I go back to the application link I can see there are several Platinum cards on there - they are unable to say which one they have actually sent, but I think (from looking at my online account) it is the 26 month balance transfer one - about the 5th one down There is absolutely no-way I would have clicked on this link by mistake - the travel card is the top one.


I've been through 2 levels of complaint so far, and keep getting told the same thing - anyone else had any issues with this?
