Rights over time of warranty repairs

I was wondering if there are any rules or guidelines on how quickly a company needs to perform a warranty repair? I bought an expensive cooker in June that has stopped working and the manufacturer won't come and look at it for 3 weeks (meanwhile without a cooker to feed family!). The company I actually bought product from said down to the manufacturer and washed their hands on the matter. Are there any consumer rights in this case?
Also I turned down expensive additional insurance/warranty on the basis I would expect a high end item to last several years anyway. Do I have any protection to make a claim for repair or replacement after the 1 year warranty? I tried looking at the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and seemed to apply some rights but not clear on timescales. For instance how long would it be reasonable to expect an oven, fridge freezer or washing machine to last? Also what action would I need to take against company to get them to actually do something?

Your Consumer Rights are against the company you bought from. A manufacturer's warranty can have any (reasonable) terms attached to it that they see fit. If that means waiting 3 weeks for a warranty inspection the so be it.
A remedy under consumer rights must be provided without undue delay and without causing significant inconvenience.0
