Telephone lead too short.

I've just bought a new Panasonic cordless phone with answerphone, but the lead that plugs into the dual connector which is on the telephone/broadband socket, is much shorter than the old BT phone was. I rang Panasonic to see if I could buy a longer one, but no - apparently not. I tried with the old BT lead, but it doesn't work on the new phone. It looks as though longer ones can be purchased online, but which one do I choose? Does anyone know which one would work on a Panasonic please?

No idea.
But to get an answer you need to post the model number of the phone.0 -
2 mtr , long enough for you ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2m-BT-Telephone-Extension-Lead-For-Office-Home-Full-6-Wire-Cable-005655/190738599714?epid=1042410159&hash=item2c68e80f22:g:-PcAAOSwmphaQjusSave a Rachael

Sorry, I should have said it is a Panasonic KXTGD320E.....
Will that cable be OK for it? The BT one doesn't work and Panasonic couldn't/wouldn't recommend one. 2m would be OK at a push. Apparently Panasonic's have a standard length of 1.5m.0 -
That cable will work with anything as it's a straight through extension.
The cable that runs between the phone and the wall socket (American RJ plug to BT plug) can be wired either straight through or crossover and if you get the wrong one it won't work.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
There is a filter thing for the internet which is plugged into the phone socket in the wall. Is that a crossover? (Sorry to be so dense, but it's not my field at all).
It has one inlet for a cable connected to a router and another for the cable to the phone itself. Does that mean it's straight through and will that cable above work?0 -
the extension lead above will plug into the long lead on the phone and plug into the phone outlet on the filter on your bt boxSave a Rachael
