Hi,
I have ordered a new wardrobe. now that they are delivered we aren't happy with the quality of it.
on top of it the builders messed it up with fitting. I still owe the supplier 50%.
now the suppliers are chasing for money, I have asked the suppliers to take it back but they are not ready to take it back.
There is no signed contract just emails in writing.
Please advise
Thanks

My reasoning is ...You ordered a wardrobe having checked the quality, and the suitability for your needs. If this was delivered faulty then you notify the company after doing your delivery checks. It seems the product was installed and no issues existed when this started. Your builder has fitted the wardrobe and in the process something has gone wrong, or perhaps something is now damaged.
Consequently you owe the supplier the money that is outstanding. Put another way, you cannot expect them to accept back a wardrobe that has been fitted, and perhaps damaged, and is certainly no longer in its' original packaging.
You may have a dispute with your builder, but that is no reason not to pay the supplier.0 -
If you were not happy with the quality on receipt of the goods why did you have them fitted?0

I didnt like it when the units arrived. conveyed my concerns but I was assured it will look nice once its all fitted. There was no showroom as such to see the quality and look of units. my builder recommended and we just went ahead with the order thinking the suppliers will deliver as per our expectation. the units are more of shelves similar to any big DIY shop. if I am paying on a item which is expesive than Sharp/Neatsmith I should get something similar to Neatsmith/Sharp

You had two opportunities to check if you liked it. The first was before ordering. There must be some opportunity to have samples sent or a showroom somewhere. If you don!!!8217;t take that opportunity, you miss it.
Secondly when it arrived. Voicing a concern is not taking control. If you hated it, you should have sent it back.
The supplier has done absolutely nothing wrong. The item is in a condition where it cannot be returned, you owe them the money.
If the builder supplied it and damaged a piece then they are responsible for replacing that piece, not replacing it with something you like.
If you buy something, you need to be sure that you like it before anyone gets a screwdriver out. It is that simple.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
