Car Insurance Claim Issue

Hi there,

Not sure if this is the right place to put this - but I am desperate for some help with this.

Back in Feb 2017 - I pulled into a space in TESCO Car Park, long and short of it is that someone got out of the space next to me and accused me of colliding with their car and i hadn't.

Since then I received multiple threatening letters from them and claiming companies saying they will take me to court with "THE CCTV OF THE COLLISION" I have said the day this occurred, if they want to, they are more than welcome to put a claim against me via insurance or court as I am confident I have done nothing wrong. How stupid I was!!

Since then - I lost my NCB - And have paid hiking renewals whilst the insurance companies battle this out. 1 year later - still no CCTV emerged. Other party refused independent mechanical engineer to inspect their car - inspected mine, he said unlikely my car could of collided with his but can't say for sure without looking at theirs. But they wouldn't allow this.

Since Oct 2017, my insurance company have been in a stand-off where they wrote to his insurers saying they are backing me and happy to fight this in court, supplied details of my barrister. Since then they have wrote to them 3 times with no response in 4 months.

I am still paying heightened premiums and am hesitant for my renewal again coming up this year! This feels like madness, is there nothing more I can do than keep getting my insurance company to write to them over and over again?
