HSBC PPI complaint timescales

So I made 7 PPI mis selling complaints and the 8 weeks is up on Thursday.
They called me last Monday to get some further info about 2 of my claims and said I would hear in the next 1-2 weeks.
Should I hear something before the 8 weeks is up? Even if it!!!8217;s just a holding letter?
Their website suggests if my claim is upheld they would pay to my HSBC acct and send a letter so wondering as no payment made with 2 days to go that!!!8217;s they will probably reject my complaints.
Should I wait or do I go to FOS if nothing from them at 8 weeks?

Definitely wait or at least contact them. As soon as you go to FOS you can slap another few months/years onto the wait.0

Ok thanks. I thought I!!!8217;d have heard by now. I work for a financial institution and we are really hot in the 8 week rule!0
