Removing concrete screed?

Hello I am sure ill be coming on here lots. As I've bought a dooer upper. We have quarry tiles in the dining room that I'd like to restore but it looks like a mammoth task as covered in concrete screed. I've been having a little look and looks like ill need an acid rinse ? Is this something I can buy from a normal diy shop ? Any tips/ recommendations...words wisdom
Many thanks

Brick Acid, available in any DIY Shop.

It really depends on how much there is but I would not be too optimistic. I have seen how hard it is to remove a recent spill. You may be better off getting reclaimed ones.

I doubt you will be successful. To use brick acid one first has to remove as much as possible of the mortar or concrete. This would mean chipping away at your floor. Here you are likely to damage the tiles. However, even if you achieve this there is no guarantee your acid will give a perfect result. If your quarry tiles are not good quality then you risk damage by applying acid.

Acid is cheap, so you are welcome to try. Just be aware the results may not be what you are imagining
