Just as I spent hours trying to work out if I had malware...
I have determined I do not.
I was unable to find out why my internet proxy was set to 127.0.0.1:64550 and why I was unable to disable this proxy.
Many forum threads across the internet suspected malware, but I have worked out it was implemented as part of the Verto Analytics Smart App.
Just wanted this info out there so it could possibly save others time and frustration in the future.
(of course, if you don't have the Verto Analytics software installed, you may have a problem!)
