RAC Mastercard from the late 80's to early 90's

Hi there. My father had a RAC Mastercard and took it out in the late 80's and held onto it well into the 90's. (This was way back in the day that nearly every other shop, store and service company was going into Credit Card services :rotfl: )
He recalls the PPI payments, but he doesn't have any statements from that time. I've not been able to find out who it was being financed by at the time, something tells me it was Bank of Scotland, or RBS.
Does anyone recall this credit card and who would be responsible for any PPI compliant against the RAC mastercard service and the PPI setup?
Thanks in advance

The "late eighties" is now almost three decades ago, so without any documentation from your father's own archive the chances of you advancing this are nil.My father had a RAC Mastercard and took it out in the late 80's

Who sold it to him? That is who you would complain to, not who financed it.
But the chances of anyone still having records are virtually zero.0
