Hi All,

Long time lurker here and thought I would post my PCN story up until now.

Just before Christmas, the keeper received a PCN from a private parking company in Aberdeen, Scotland. The keeper has been ignoring all correspondence with the private parking company as advised in the Newbies Thread. However, the keeper has just received a new letter from BW Legal adding a further £60 onto the initial fine and threatening court proceedings. From reading the forums it seems BW Legal is somewhat a new kid on the block with the parking firms. Can the keeper expect court papers from this legal company in the near future or will their scare tactics amount to just letters through the post?

If it helps the keeper is in Scotland and the private parking company have no idea who the driver was.

Thanks to everyone on this forum, without it the driver may well have coughed up.

BWL got a special mention in the House of Commons on Friday and has been reported to the SRA by an MP for its involvement in private patking scams, it could be leaving us shortly.

Complain to your MP, the legal profession has no place for such tip off merchants.

You are right NEVER NAME THE DRIVER IN SCOTLAND.

BWLegal are not new kids on the block .... they are kids
though hence you have a debt collector letter.

Just ignore them unless they have the guts to take
    you to court in Scotland

In the meantime, placate yourself with the operating
    methods of BWLegal
Whilst this is all down south and possibly easier for them,
look how they fail and are zapped in court when they
start throwing their toys out of their pram

And as said above, BWLegal has now come to the attention
of MP's and government ...... they must behave themselves
