    Hi
I'm no expert but have recently replaced all the doors in my house. I thought I had one very odd sized door like you but realised it was actually pretty close to a standard size

    535x1950 is almost 21x78 inches (533x1981)
    and
    595x1950 is almost 24x78 inches (610x1981)

I'd be surprised if those standard sizes couldn't be trimmed to what you needed even if you had to pay a little more for a door with more edging on it.

Not a recommendation, but just a google search response that came up with a door you could order in those sizes

Can I ask how many you had replaced and what the total cost was?

There cannot be any worthwhile comparison based on price. The six panel embossed hardboard doors come in hollow core - dirt cheap, developers doors - dearer, sound proof doors - can be different spec, and Fire Doors - expensive and so heavy it is a two person fitting job. To many consumers these all look the same - they are simply considered a door. But the construction, weight and function are so different that the price reflects this. Two "identical" doors viewed by a consumer could be over £50 different in price just to folks buying them in the building trade.

Then add in pre primed, or pre decorated, or doorsets and it becomes more complex on pricing.

It is all a touchy area. The building trade knows consumers usually focus only on price and give no consideration to quality or specification. The devil is always in the detail!

We had 22 doors fitted, including bedroom cupboard/wardrobe doors. Our doors were (mostly) from B&Q and were Oak Veneer. In the sale and with a work discount I think they were about £60 each. A couple of the odd size ones for wardrobes were £85 I think.

We then paid £30 a door to have them fitted with 3 hinges, handle and catch. I supplied all the hardware on top of that. He was great and managed all 22 doors in 2 1/2 days which I'm sure would have taken me 2 1/2 months!
