What to do with an allegation of a car incident?

Have you ever been in this situation? Could you pls advise?

I've just received a letter from my car insurance company. They said they received an allegation from a third-party company saying I was involved in an incident in a car park a few weeks ago.

I was in that area but was not involved in an incident. I don't remember hitting any car nor was I stopped by anyone.

My insurance company said after they took my words, they would return to the other company and then hear what they said.

Have you ever been in this situation? Is there anything I can or should do to protect myself?
