It's good advice (not advise). I haven't burnt a clutch out[STRIKE],[/STRIKE]; the OP has.

If you can't sense the biting point of a clutch very easily then more driving lessons are needed.

[STRIKE]And[/STRIKE] Since a new clutch could be £500, it's good advice to ensure you've got enough money to buy one.

And its impossible to advise (not advice) someone how to operate a clutch properly on an internet forum: the only way is sitting in the car, live.

    6/10.

I count 7. Joe has therefore been generous. There are errors in your previous posts, also.

fair enough. I'll take that advice: but surely each post should have its own mark?

Did you know they used to throw pedants to the lions in ancient Rome?

What sort of lions were they though?

No. If the post is clear in it's meaning, then the pedantry is unnecessary.

It sounds like it was knackered when you got it,as someone driving as long as yourself shouldn't take that long to learn in a new car.

I remember initially having issues stalling an MG ZR sometimes when owning both that and a Nissan 350Z Roadster.

I soon got used to the two cars although to be honest, I never had a problem with the MG when I drove that car only for nearly 5 months before the Nissan was delivered.

I know someone that burnt out a brand new clutch in less than 8000 miles.
