Mondeo Head Unit
Thoughts of changing my Mondeo 2011 (61 plate) have dissipated due to not wanting to afford the price of new/slightly used cars and the small trade-in/resale price of my existing motor, so I thought I would keep it and treat myself to some upgrades.
My first thought was the head unit. My existing one is Bluetooth, DAB, CD, USB port and I thought I might be able to replace it with one that had built-in Satnav. I know they exist (my son has one in his similarly aged Mondeo) but don't know where to go to buy one (if they are available as a retrofit) nor how difficult it might be to fit it.
Any help/advice (even if it is don't bother) gratefully accepted and appreciated

Depending on the type you need, you may well find one on ebay

I was looking at the Android powered ones for my 2010 Mondeo which basically can do the same as a tablet but with built in radio. You can even hook up reversing cameras to most of them They're around £300 on Ebay/Amazon but make sure you get one that is running Android version 7 or 6 at the very oldest.
Something like this:

Quick Youtube review to give you an idea of what they can do:

Pumpkin are a decent brand of them.
I don't think I'd bother with the manufacturers one due to having to keep paying for map updates. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
