ESA - Assessors Report

Options
Hi
Currently being re-assessed for ESA ( in support group)
I have been informed I don’t need a face to face
CHDA have emailed report to DWP and it’s showing up on their shared system
However DWP have not had the ‘hard copy’ logged on to the system yet, has anyone any experience or guidance how long this part is likely to take.
It’s 2weeks since report was emailed and file sent

Many Thanks

No one can tell you the answer to that, you'll need to ring the assessment providers to find out why DWP haven't recieved it. Only they can tell you if it was sent or not.
  • Hi
    Thanks for your prompt reply
CHDA are saying they have sent the file it!!!8217;s available to see on the shared site they share with DWP
DWP have said they can see they have sent it, but the hard copy is still to be logged on, I presume by DWP, I was told by DWP they have approx 2000 referrals to be logged onto their system, the lady was rather abrasive and said to either wait for a decision letter or try phoning back next week
I was enquiring if anyone has had the same experiences, and how long they waited, as the thought of ringing and listening to 20mins of Handel only to be told nothing yet has been logged on just leaves me with steam coming out of head....

Once DWP recieve the hard copy then it only takes a couple of days to be out onto the system. I have a feeling someone isn't beong honest with you here as 2 weeks is more than enough time for it to be put onto the computer.

Unfortunately your only option is to ring them again. Hopefully the next time you'll speak to someone who is more helpful than the last person you spoke to.

The good news here is you can't be found fit for work without an face 2 face assessment.
  • Hi Poppy
Thankyou once again for your prompt reply.
I think my only option is to ring them again, I will give it a few more days into next week and maybe they will have logged it on by then.
It!!!8217;s an absolute pain, it!!!8217;s been 31weeks so far with this ESA, 4 appointments all cancelled by them, I was also being assessed for PIP during this as well , enhanced mob, standard living ,sent it my award notice, as suddenly no face to face needed.... (due to PIP Mob ?)
    Thanks
  • Hi Penitent
    Thankyou for your reply,
Your reply sounds very encouraging, to be honest I spoke with DWP twice last week
The first guy, said that it had been processed..... then said oh no I!!!8217;m looking at your current claim ... did not fill me with a lot of hope,
Friday I phoned again and the lady I spoke with although was rather abrasive, and I felt as if I was a nuisance, said she could see it!!!8217;s been sent back, but it could take a while for it to be logged on, don!!!8217;t really understand this system, so assume a hard copy is also sent and has to be logged onto DWP system for the decision maker to see.
You guideline of approx a month, has calmed me slightly as it!!!8217;s just pass two weeks since it was sent back, so hopefully is in a mountain of ESA referrals waiting to be logged into system and a decision maker to decide on.
Thankyou for taking the time to answer, very much appreciated
