Parking in London?

I never thought I'd be asking this question..

Myself and my friend are going to a show at Alexandra Palace in a few weeks, we've had it booked since September. I was visiting my friend shortly after booking where his housemate's parents were visiting, they told us they live near Alexandra Palace and offered us their driveway. Although nothing has been mentioned since and I don't want to seem rude in either me or my friend asking them again.

The show is in the evening but we're going to head to London early in the morning and make a day out of it. We will travel around the centre of London and everything on the Tube but I'm just generally looking for somewhere I can park my car and leave it for the day, but perhaps quite close to a tube station. But I'm clueless as every other time I've been to London, I've straight up caught the train. We were going to catch the train this time around although the event will finish when trains stop running for the night and we both want to save money in not getting a hotel.

Any advice?

You could try one of the "park on my driveway" facilities. Never used them myself but a mate booked and used one last week around Highbury - no, he wasn't late (by some years) for an Arsenal game, just coincidentally going to a christening near there. He said it worked well and was good value.

    Any advice?

Get you friends housemate to ask them if it is still ok. They made the offer once, why would they keep on mentioning it? I doubt that they can even remember the date.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I use the NCP in Portland sq which you can get 12 hours for £15 at a weekend you will obviously id imagine need abit over that but shouldnt be too bad Have a look at website other NCP car parks do weekend deals. Failing that dont where your coming from but Oxford tube is pretty good 24 hrs per day £18 return. In case you dont know thats a bus service. You can also park further out of London at the end of the tube mainly north /west london areas in car parks and get tube in. I also use National express alot. Costs me £15 return from 120 miles away

We were able to park at Alexandra Palace in the event parking, which was really convenient for us. There was bus access to and from the tube station and then from there onwards! Just a shame it rained all day and we got soaked

Alexandra Palace has it's own parking and there are loads of onstreet parking around the area on weekends where parking isn't restricted.

Should not have any problem what so ever for weekend parking, on weekday it may cost a bit. Phone up Alexandra palace for their parking charges.

A relative of mine who does supply teaching asked a nephew if his secondary school has teacher parking. Even if the kid knows that teachers park their cars in school does not mean it's OK to park. Just phone up the reception and ask..
