Letting Agent withholding rent

I am a landlord of a property and have requested vacant possession of my property when the tenant’s agreement ends at the end of this month. I gave notice before Christmas. Is it usual for the letting agent to withhold the last month’s rent until end of agreement? I should have received payment notification by now but have failed to do so. I’ll be contacting them early next week.

How should we know?
We can't see the contract you signed with your letting agency from here.0 -

How do you know that a) the tenants will be leaving at the end of the fixed term, and b) the tenants have paid the rent?
As the post above what does your agreement with the letting agent say about forwarding the rent in these circumstances?0 -
No. It's not usual.
But see comments above.
To the tenants? In what form?I gave notice before Christmas.
Or to the agents? What did they do?
* Letting agents: how should a landlord select or sack?
* Ending/renewing an AST: what happens when a fixed term ends? How can a LL or tenant end a tenancy? What is a periodic tenancy?0
