They lie flush with the roof so you cannot see unless you are quite a distance from the house. Nothing was in our paper work and the seller even stated in the Property Information that solar panels were not installed.
    Hi

Have a look at your DHW cylinder and see if there's any extra copper pipes linked to it - there's normally a cold water feed at the bottom and a hot water connection at the top - if it's heated by GCH then there'll also be two connections to a heat transfer coil .... if it has a solar thermal system connections there's be two more pipes for the solar coil which should be well insulated and both go up into the loft where you should be able to see them routed to wherever the panels are on the roof .... if it's solar electricity (PV) then there should be a cable run (usually in loft) routed to an inverter (g00gle for example pictures!) which is in turn connected to an additional electricity meter (known as a TGM) ...

If you can't see pipes or cables ... if the panels look to be approx 1.5mx1m and there's at least 4 it's likely that they're PV, but if much larger then they would more likely be water filled thermal panels ... having mentioned that, I've seen a couple of new housing developments with 2/4 PV panels which the developer has fitted to raise the EPC rating ...

    Anyway - have a look ...
