Was going to post about this earlier, and then forgot.
"To counter the misuse of our network we have limited our Free-Calls policy for NON-registered users to 1 minute per call. If you want to enjoy UNLIMITED free calls, just register and buy 1 euro worth of credit."
Some newsgroup members have posted that this is the case and they get the message to top up after the minute" at the moment I am not getting this message, but at €1 (€1.08 Inc VAT) this is definitely a bargain. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
Doesthis include calls to Landlines?0
-
Yes. Landline or direct voipbuster to voipbuster calls.

To all prospective users of voipbuster.com if you have Windows 98/98se then their software does NOT support this operating system.
You have to have windows 2000 or above !!!!!!
Rather stupid as all the other programs do support these versions of windows.
If you have Win 98/SE or probably ME then goto their site and complain on their feed back - put in user name none and fill in the rest and complain.
There are still millions of users who do not have 2000 or xp.0 -
Another quick note - BT Yahoo are offering free voip calls for a period, BUT the offer is for Residential Lines NOT Business lines .
I could not find this restriction on the site, I only found this after downloading the software installing registering and then giving my landline number, then the information was displayed.

Under the FAQ page below:
http://www.voipbuster.com/en/faq.html#22
It says:
How long can I use my credit to make calls outside the VoipBuster network?^ top
Credit in your VoipBuster balance remains active for 180 days after your last succesfully connected PSTN phone call. Credit balances on accounts with no activity during a 180 day period will be lost.
Does anyone know whether this €1 deposit is going to expire after 180 days if we only make calls to free destinations? i.e. Do we have to keep 'topping up' the account with €1 every 180 days if we only make calls to free destinations?0 -
AP,
That sounds like a measure taken against having lots of old unused accounts in their system rather than a mobile-style credit expiry.
180 days from the last time you used it rather than the date when you credited your account.
Thanks

Does it mean that as long as I make one call to a free destination every 180 days then the €1 will remain in the account forever?
Anyway, I am going for it and I've just used my new Nationwide credit card (which doesn't charge the 2.75% conversion fee) to credit my account with €1. In fact, there is actually 7.6% Swiss VAT to add on top make it €1.08 altogether even though only €1 goes into the account with Voipbuster.0 -

It certainly does for the time being at least - they do change their rates and connection fee fairly regularly - in the two months I have been using it, the cost to a landline in Spain has been completely free, 1 cent connection fee and 0 cents/min and for two days, one cent connection fee and one cent per minute.
Thanks

ahh, this is quite pleasing really. I just set-up my Sipura SPA-2000 and it works brilliantly! Back to free calls again via my DECT, fantastic!0
