Buying a home with the view to extend.

Hi
I’m looking at buying a home with a view to extend. In its current state the kitchen is tiny. I’d like to create a kitchen diner with vaulted ceiling. What sort of things should I be considering for a second viewing?
Thanks

Unless you are an experienced builder, or know someone who is(?), renovation will always costs more than you expect."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

The obvious question would be why not buy the right size house in the first place? But...
If you're thinking of extending out the back, look for where the drains run. They often run along the back of a row of houses, which causes all sorts of problems if you want to build over them.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
