Hi.
I always thought when you activated the deadlocks on a car door it couldn't be opened from the inside? Correct?
Cheers.

That's exactly what deadlocks are for, yes. To stop somebody smashing the window to unlock from the inside.0

As Adrian says.
However, the deadlocks should only operate from outside the car, either with the remote (sometimes press "lock" twice or the key (may have to turn it twice, or further).
I can deadlock myself inside the Renault Nee-San using the remote, the internal lock button doesn't deadlock, as you might want to keep carjackers out, but you need to leap out if it bursts into flames.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Are you actually activating the deadlock. Most cars use a double click or double turn of the key. Ocasionally a manufacturer tries something different. The seat ibiza deadlocks by default on a single button press. A second press deactivates the deadlock function to normal locking. Not sure if other vag cars use the same method.0
