Can anyone recommend a door knob for a bathroom? The bathroom door is the original from the 1950s and it only has a latch type lock just now and a round knob that turns. Can I fit a locking knob easily?

Wanna give us a pic of what is there currently?
It would really help. Nobody knows what is original otherwise.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Yes, just remove the original knob, the square drive bar and the lock mechanism, you may have difficulty due to the amount of paint in the screws. Buy your preferred mechanism. You will have to make the hole in the door for the lock bigger (probably). If you buy the type that pushes a lock bar out of the mechanism you will have to drill another hole for the lock drive bar. If you buy the type with a "snick" on the handle you will not need an extra hole. Can I fit a locking knob easily?0 -
