Radiators and freezing

Hello,
We have recently brought our first home and are in the process of fixing it. Having just had the house rewired and have a plasterer coming next week to skim and make good the walls. As part of this we have had to remove the radiators a couple of weeks ago. The temperature has been fine recently but looks set to drop below zero in the evenings (-2 C according to forecasts) most nights next week and I'm worried about pipes freezing as the boiler is off and there is only electricity in one room. It's it worth setting a fan heater to keep downstairs a couple of degrees above zero at night? We can only really set this up in one room, the kitchen, where the isolation tap and boiler are.

Are you living in the property? If not just drain the heating system, turn off the main stop valve and run the taps to drain any excess in the pipes and all's good.

Yes. Drain down. It's what banks do when they repossess a property.
