We have been going to the same gym since it opened 5+ years ago. We park in the same space which is not a space but many other people use.

Today we have received a letter from premier park who are operating within the BPA. It has a photo of our vehicle parked in between the two spaces We always parked in and says he is being fined for not parking wholly within a space. We have complained to the manager of the gym but they weren!!!8217;t interested and said it!!!8217;s nothing to do with them we need to speak to the company who sent the fine and it!!!8217;s nothing to do with them gym. Ironic when they manage it on the gyms behalf.
I!!!8217;ve tried to read up on what to do next but it!!!8217;s all very confusing can anyone help?

hi, and welcome to the forum .........

    two avenues to progress ...

1: read the newbie thread and look for the template appeal to send off

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822

2: "We have complained to the manager of the gym but they weren’t interested and said it’s nothing to do with them"

he lied .... are they part of a national company ? if so complain to the CEO , if not inform him that he will be called to give evidence if it gets to court .... ( part bluff) cancel membership .... write nice things on there faceace page ......

    good luck

  • Hi Ralph thanks for your reply. They are part of a national company. I expect they have been getting a lot of calls the past few days as it seems like it’s a new thing for the gym so I suspect he’s sick of them. Is there a template to complain to the CEO?

There is no template as it’s best done in your own words. Tell your story and tell them you want it cancelled.

If they refuse there are plenty more gyms.
  • Thank you. Also meant to ask he parks there every day so we believe we may have another 4 of these on their way! Do we just keep contesting them all?

You shouldn't reveal the driver's identity either on here or in the keeper appeals.

Today we have received a letter from premier park who are operating within the BPA.

So send the usual appeal from the NEWBIES thread for each PCN.

And urgently (well before POPLA comes up as an option, i.e. NOW) complain to the Gym Head office. You will probably find other threads like this if you search for the word 'Gym' on this board (choose advanced search) change 'show threads' to 'show posts'.

It's not the top white box on the page, that's to search MSE in its entirety, No.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • So we have a reply from the parking company who basically say we have a legal right to tell them who was driving and if not the owner becomes liable.

    What do we do next?

never reveal who was driving unless there is an EXTREMELY good reason for doing so, you are under NO OBLIGATION to name the driver

if they provided a POPLA code, use it

if they didnt , wait for a popla code

    ,@op

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving. There are posts in this thread also advising you this.

You need to edit your posts which give details of who was driving to remove details of who was driving.
