Contents Insurance & Employment

I work as a Holiday Rep and my current Contents Insurance policy price has doubled. This insurance stated the maximum period of being away from the property of 90 days.
This year I have chosen only to work short contracts, of 69 days in one stint and 45 days the other and, whilst away, I have several people checking the property regularly.
On doing a comparison, I chose my employers website however they stated they were unable to grant my policy and would not give any reason.
I declared I entered into an IVA in 2010 however repaid it early. My understanding is that I was not made bankrupt by having an IVA?
So would having an IVA been the reason, or the fact my property is left empty for periods of time? And do I now have to declare being refused insurance in any future insurance applications?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

No, you haven't been refused, they have declined to quote. For whatever reason, they don't want your business. Don't worry about it, go somewhere else.do I now have to declare being refused insurance in any future insurance applications?0 -
