No acknowledgement of Car Incident

Nearly 3 weeks ago my car was hit from behind by a company Bedford type company van while we were in slow moving traffic, I stopped for traffic lights he didn’t.

I phoned my insurance company for an update and was told that the other insurance company still had no acknowledgment of the incident from there client- what happens if the company never responds? Will I see the refund of the excess payment I had to make?

There was no witnesses but I do have photo of the number plate and an email from the company, I emailed them to make sure they knew and got a reply.

Assuming liability is clear cut as you say then yes, you will see a refund. (Your excess is an uninsured item so down to you to get it back)

Send proof of your excess payment to the owner of the van (or their insurer) and ask for reimbursement (along with any other uninsured losses) - (if you have legal cover with your policy ask them to deal with this for you - otherwise DIY)
