I just don't want to lose income as otherwise it'll be difficult to save.

    Tough !!!!.

Your employer has made adjustments to the sickness policy to help you.

If you are still having problems and falling foul of their "punitive sickness policy" then the company are well within their rights to asses if you are still capable of doing the job sufficiently to suit them.

I'm not a chef but I wouldn't be allowed to be a chef with what I have

Is it your intention that we just keep guessing until we get it right?

If you want, we could all join in. I have a condition which would prevent me doing some jobs, can you guess what it is? (I'm not serious here, but hopefully you get the point!)

I know you aren't, I have a memory of you saying you are a cleaner

Saving is all well and good, but you can't save without an income and the way you are carrying on, you won't have one for much longer

Sound to me you have contact dermatitis, presumably down to the chemicals in you job. Your employers have offered alternative employment. If you think your health isn't important enough to move, then you are a fool

    Not contact

They blame the stress of the job when I know it's not the job, it's worse after time at home. I was partly worried people would underestimate the condition but I was bleeding, I couldn't move elbows properly, I was leaving a trail of skin and i just wanted to go to sleep (if I could) to end having to live with the condition.

Steroids, usually for people with organ transplants, have given me my life back

All this sickness review stuff happened a few years ago and the review doesn't threaten me, but they still try to redeploy, and terms would be worse

    I live on tight margins
I learned to work the tax system and investments out of necessity

Maintaining that income is more important than my health - I am no use to my family if I'm not earning, they'd be better off with the death in service pension benefit

All I can say is you are a very sick man Mathew and perhaps a psychiatrist will be more use to you then a GP

Steroids are used for all sorts of different things.

That is going to rank as one of the most stupid comments on these boards. Your health should be your prime concern. I doubt the DISPB will be as generous in the long run as it first appears,
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Motorguy- if I told you the illnesses you potentially could figure out my employer, like if I told you I had radiation poisoning
Nicechap - in real life I dare not express controversial ideas because of job, etc

If you are so protective of your identity, I hope that Matthew Ainsworth is not your real name.... (or are you setting up an enemy ?)

Keeping a roof over my family's head and feeding them is my top priority, I would also like to give my wife an earlier retirement with her back problems and make up for all the scrimping I've for ed the family through (no holidays in years, cheap food, etc)

The wife frequently reminds me she'd get more from the state if she was a single mum than she does living with me.
I have to make myself not a liability

Well that certainly dispels your arguement that you keep yourself healthy

I eat extremely healthily and I don't rely on cheap food. I take holidays , I certainly don't rely on google maps to show me what I'm missing.

May I refer you back to the post made by still waters on your thread about holidays? Go read it, and again and again

Then tell me that a persons health isn't the most important thing they have
