I joined look after my bills a few weeks ago. now my tariff with first utility is ending they sent me a 'switch' to:
PFP for £58 per month, seemed good; "BUT!" ~
    ...today received another 'switch' to:
powershop for £84 per month! Seems really bad as this is no better than staying with first utility!
They say I have 14 days to cancel. However I did not receive any explanation for this switch from PFP on the 14.12.18, to POWERSHOP on the 16.12.18?
I can't understand what they are doing!

Has anyone else had a similar experience to this please?

    Many thanks!

In their FAQs, they state the following:

Quote: We always want to make sure it’s worthwhile for you to switch suppliers, that’s why we will only switch you if we can save you at least £50 or £15 if you have a prepayment meter. Unquote

As I said in an earlier post, the great unknown is what assumptions are made in the future cost calculations? Personally, I would ask them to justify the switch. The other unanswered question is 'who is regulating these automatic switching sites'? Looking at their terms and conditions, there is a complaints procedure but no third-party arbitration service. Your only recourse would appear to be a Court of Law.

  • They messed up switching my supply to a far more expensive tariff to a company with awful customer service reviews with large exit fees so i cant change back. They switch me mid contract with my old supplier costing me huge exit fees. They lied saying I would save over £200 by switching when in fact I was moved onto a dearer tariff. They pocketed a huge commission for switching me and weren't prepared to do anything at all to correct things. They don't switch you to the cheapest supplier or the the best supplier. You have no control over who they switch you to and they are far,far more difficult to deal with then sorting things yourself. There is no reason to use this company, it is far quicker, easier and cheaper to switch yourself! Give control of your energy supply and bank details to these guys at your peril!

This is an old thread, might have been better to start a new one or post in a different more recent thread...
... but, this typically happens when the customer has switched on their own to a different provider leaving LAMB thinking you are still on an older out of contract tariff...
In any event I would hope you have cancelled your service with LAMB now so this can't happen again.
Always better to deal with switching yourself to avoid accidents...
