PCP - settlement figure and trade-in

Can you tell me where in my posts I said the OP was? No.
"Sigh"
You said the O/P should be prepared to get their trousers pulled down.
I asked why
You said because dealers usually take advantage of people who cant afford their cars any more.
Thats not the situation the O/P is in, so why would that be an issue for the O/P?
I said most because most are as can be evidenced by the fact we can't go more than a day or two on this board, the Loans board or the DFW board without posts from people asking how to get out of their PCP deals because their circumstances have changed and they can't afford it.
And given there are millions of cars sold on finance every year, relative to the several people who post on the finance board here with difficulties, thats your evidence is it?
Why would a dealer pay more for the OPs car that there's loads of for sale at auction? The OPs negative equity isn't their concern. If the OP wants more than they can pay for one elsewhere then the dealer won't buy it.
Because good clean retailable fresh stock is exceptionally hard to find at auction. And they might have to travel the country to get it. If someone rocks up to their door with a retailable car they will moreoften be happy to give a decent trade bid.0
