A decline certainly isn't ideal but since it is what it is, here are a few other options for a zero FTF Mastercard:

    - Monzo bank. This is a debit card, but the customer service is amazing, the card is gorgeous and overall it is my favourite bank!
    - Virgin Money travel card. No Android Pay but a solid product. Hard to get.
    - Aqua Reward. High APR, poor customer service and no Android Pay. But no FTF.

Those are just three I personally have. There are a lot! If you want to avoid another credit inquiry and want excellent service, I recommend Monzon

That should clearly say Monzo. The n is by the full stop and I can't edit my post. :(

I would add to that list the Creation Everyday Card; very good for using abroad. I have one and am very pleased with it and it has a pre eligiblity check. :)
(It doesn’t have Apple Pay, unfortunately, but apart from that it’s a quite useful card to have.)
A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.

Definitely. I only listed cards I actually had. There's also Post Office, Santander Zero, etc...

Bung in an appeal letter, it worked for me about 3 years ago (in the days of £5 cashback/month on £300 spend) and got a limit of £3,500, although the APR is a little high at around 25%.

Alternatively I currently use Starling Bank for withdrawing foreign cash. It's a mastercard and pays a little interest on in credit balances. The clarity is currently demoted to back-up card for foreign trips.

Agree with this. In this day and age there is a an acceptance of the 'Computer says no. Just move on.' culture, that is so prevalent. Algorithms aren't perfect. Sometimes a human eye is required to go over your records and reassess your application.

You really have nothing to lose in doing so, apart from a little bit of your time, and a stamp.
